I thought it would be fun to name some of my projects just like many of us name some of our jewelry pieces. After designing these earrings, I thought for a few minutes and decided they reminded me of Jane Austen’s character named Elizabeth Bennett from her book Pride and Prejudice. In this novel, Elizabeth is portrayed as an intelligent young lady with character. She is also praised for her beautiful blue eyes.

To make a similar pair, you’ll need:

4 teardrop crystal beads
4 head pins
approx. 4 inches of chain
2 earring hooks
Round-nosed pliers
Chain-nosed pliers

Viking Knit DVD

, well-known for her wire teaching, has come out with a new DVD: Double Knit Viking Weave Class ($28). This is her second wire jewelry DVD, and you can get a sneak peak of it over at YouTube.com. This shows a little over a 2 minute excerpt from the 42 minute DVD.

The video is also linked her on her site along with more information about the DVD such tools and supplies, which you can also purchase through her site individually or as a kit, plus a list of the chapters on the DVD. There are also a few still shots as well, and the primary project made in the DVD is a Viking Weave bracelet.

It is encouraging to see that Dianna did so well with her first wire DVD that she has decided to go for it again!
