Nicole Kidman’s rope-like sautoir necklace is a personal favorite from the last decade of Oscars jewelry. Worn in 2008, the necklace is fashioned from 1400 carats of rough, faceted and polished diamonds. It’s just one of the looks that defined jewelry trends at the Oscars during the first decade of the new century.

Diamonds and platinum are always top choices for Oscars attire, but jewelry trends have changed somewhat during the past ten years. Stacked cuffs and bracelets are more plentiful than ever, and so are colorful diamonds and other types of colored gems.
