Tamra Gentry – earrings
November’s Artist of the Month is Tamra Gentry. She’s a regular Hammermarks reader and when I checked out her work I had to give her some blog love. I also love the fact that she’s a scientist as well as an artist. It is possible to use both sides of your brain, she’s living proof! Personally I’ve always found it to be a bunch of mularky and excuses that artists can’t use logic, or math, or do science related things. Science and math take a great deal of imagination to develop proofs, come up with theories, discover new worlds and new civilizations (wait that’s Star Trek). Anyway, I digress. She uses fold-forming, hammer texture, large one-of-a-kind gemstones, sound like anyone familiar? But her designs are different from mine. She has a cleaner, modder (is that even a word?!) style than mine. Check her out and see for yourself. Show some support and comment on her blog.
