Aromatherapy Jewelry

Essential oils are on store shelves everywhere now that more people are using them for everything from aromatherapy to house cleaning. I like to wear them as perfume, but undiluted oils are usually too harsh to dab onto skin. Jewelry designers like Peggy Carey have come up with alternatives, and Peggy’s solution is a wooden aromatherapy pendant. It lets us dangle our favorite scents around our necks, where it keeps pure versions of essential oils safely away from skin.

Rainbow Crystal Butterfly Brac

These 8mm Swarovski crystal butterfly beads from Jerry Smith of www.jsbeads.com may look dainty but they pack a lot of punch in terms of sparkle.

The finished bracelet is 6 3/4 inches because, well, that’s what fit me. If you want it longer or shorter, just adjust the length of chain you start out with and add or subtract butterfly beads as necessary. You’ll see that this chain is the same type I used in the Rainbow Crystal Butterfly Necklace project (1 long link and 3 short links).
