Lampworkers Helping Needy Children
I originally saw this organization mentioned over at Katie Hacker’s Beading Blog, and I thought it was worth mentioning again over here. If you are a lampwork, polymer clay, or any other type of artist that has the ability to make beads, then you may want to check into how you can help a group called Beads of Courage. This is a charity organization who helps seriously ill children by getting them into beading. As the children work through their illness, they are given beads along the way to string up and mark their journey as they heal. This group is looking for donations of beads, but even if you aren’t a bead maker, they have other ways to support them such as starting a group or working with an existing group in your local area.
