How to Change the Color of Gold

Have you ever been confused by the terms white gold, green gold, pink and rose gold? All real gold is yellow, isn’t it, so how do other colors fit in — are they imitations? The short answer is no, they aren’t imitations at at all, they are alloys — new metals that are created by combining two or more different metals. Pure gold doesn’t usually cause allergic reactions, but it’s good to know what else is in your gold mix, especially if you’re sensitive to some metals.

First, you need to wire wrap your beads. I will show you how to do that in this project, but you can also find directions and illustrations for the same technique in my Wire Wrapped Beads article. I suggest using at least five or six inches of wire when you wrap a bead. That way you have plenty to work with and won’t run out of wire as you wrap it.
